Connoisseurs of fine technical publications will recognize the O'Reilly book in the third panel. As for Preston's yellow and black book- any resemblance it may have to an existing series is, of course, purely coincidental. ;)

Incidentally, this is our first 4-panel comic. It's 33% more work for us, but 33% more fun for you!.
