Preston to the rescue?

Could one play NetHack with only one's snout (or nose, if you will)? It could probably be done, but using SHIFT would be a challenge. Although we never played much NetHack, Drake does have a weakness for old-school text adventures, such as the Scott Adams (not the Dilbert guy!) classics.
